What to expect when you think you’re ready for your first pair of glasses

If you’ve never worn glasses before, selecting your first pair might seem like a pretty daunting task! Rest assured, we’re here to help. Whether you’ve noticed that your distance vision isn’t quite as sharp as what it was, or perhaps you’re struggling to read up close, our experienced optometrists and optical dispensers will guide you through the process.

So, here’s what to expect:

If you have concerns about your vision, your first step is to book an appointment with one of our optometrists. Our optometrists will address your concerns about your vision and determine whether glasses are in fact appropriate. If it’s time for your first pair of eyewear, we will work out what type of prescription lenses will best address the difficulties you have been experiencing with your vision whilst also suiting your lifestyle. Not only is an eye examination about assisting you to see at your best, but an ocular health check is an integral part of a comprehensive eye exam to ensure you will be seeing well for many years to come.

At the conclusion of your eye examination, our friendly optical dispensers will work with you one-on-one to find a frame that suits your visual requirements, individual style, and personality. The team at Eyewear on Pako work hard to source a wide range of frames from well-known brands, as well as small independent spectacle makers, so you’re bound to find a pair you’ll love!

As soon as your eyewear order is ready, we will be in touch to let you know. We don’t run by appointment for collection, so you’ll be able to come in store at your convenience. When you’re collecting your eyewear, we’ll complete any necessary adjustments to your frame to ensure it is sitting well and feeling comfortable. We’ll also talk you through what to expect from the vision of your new eyewear. If you have a private health fund, bring along your health fund card along and we’ll be able to process your HICAPS claim on the spot.

So, what are you waiting for? We can’t wait to see you! Book an eye test online or call us on (03) 5222 5353.
